The Wolf Family

When Lindsay called me to do her pictures for her family. I was instantly so excited. I have done pictures for her before. Back when her and Ryan were first engaged and now she had a new little addition to their family that she wanted to share. Its so great when families keep you around as their photographer and you get to kind of "grow old together" with the family. I love when I get to have these relationships with my clients. It makes every session more and more easy and more friendlier than the last. You get to know them more than just on the surface level and connect better each time you get together.

BUT Back to when Lindsay first called me to do pictures...she booked me months in advance to do pictures for her, yet still every time we tried to get together, something new had come up and we had to reschedule. This happened for various reasons, sick, bad weather, moving into a new house, etc...but as many times as we had to reschedule, it turned out perfectly when the day arrived and we ended up doing pictures on their daughter EXACT 6 MONTH birthday. I think in some weird, divine way, that was exactly how it was suppose to work out. Ella, was such a sweetie-pie and never cried once. My most favorite thing about her, was that she loves to hold her own hands. Isn't that the cutest thing ever??!!!

Ward Family Session

I am so glad I got the opportunity to work with the Ward family! What a blessing these people are. From the very first moment I met them, they were super encouraging, sweet and friendly. I was a little nervous doing pictures for them, because they are kind of "famous" around here. The husband, Gary is G-Blest. He raps about his faith and he is extremely talented at doing so.  My time with them, was  super comforting. Every shot I showed them, they would both smile and say the most sweetest things about every picture. If I complimented their children's smiles or how cute they looked, the mom, Nicole, would start saying really sweet things to me and her  children. I could just tell, she was trying to soak the moment in, to look at them from my point of view, like she already knew how fast time flies and just wanted to enjoy the memories we were making. To see their personalities shine in front of the camera.

The entire time I was with them, the whole family was respectful and loving. When my time with them was over, I just left with the warmest feeling inside. Knowing they were already going to love their pictures and that it was a good day with the Ward family. I wish all my sessions could feel like that. When people are kind and warm to you from the very beginning to the end of the session. It was just so refreshing, to be around people that shine a light so bright, you want to be around them ALL the time! Thank you Ward family =)

Aaron's Senior Session

This handsome guy is Aaron. He is a friend of mine's son.

Most guys I know do NOT like to get their pictures taken and this was no exception for Aaron. He said he was only doing it, because he wanted to make his mother happy. What a GOOD boy! And Aaron, she will forever appreciate you doing this for her. Maybe someday you will too. ;) But thanks for the good laughs and fun time we had doing your pictures!!

Graduation Time!

If only I could go back in time for a minute. High School has some of my fondest memories. Its where I met my husband, some of my best friends and did some crazy things in my life. High School is a time, when you truly start to become independent. Getting a job, learning to drive, figuring out what you want to do with your life and what you want to become. There is SO much going on in High School. And just like that, its gone in a flash. You become an adult, move out of your parents house and start your own life.

Its a beautiful time to relish in life. To enjoy. Cheers to these young ladies, who graduated!! Congratulations girls! Hope you enjoyed your high school experience. =)

Family Pictures and Baby Announcement

These pictures were actually taken last year. But its so funny to me looking back through them. You have grandparents in the middle, daughter on the left, with her family and son on the right with his family. Getting together for one big family portrait session. When taking pictures with this many people, your bound to get a couple eyes not focusing on you, or tired smiles with the children. Its so funny how you can see right through the photo, and see fake smiles, silly faces and just not so sure about you faces. Some of them make me just literally laugh out loud.

Although, its pretty great, that if you ask the parents, I'm sure they would agree, that those faces, were a sure sign of their personality or the stage of life they were at during the photo shoot. Which, for me, is always great to capture those personalities. Those stages of life, because surely we all know life goes by way TOO fast.

However, this session, was actually even MORE special than just those silly personality pictures too. Jessica, the daughter on the left, was getting ready to announce for the first time to her mom and dad, bother and sister in law, that they were pregnant!!!! And I got to capture the beautiful faces of that moment too. Smiles, laughter and tears. It was perfect!  *the way they decided to announce it, was when Michael, her husband goes to kiss, Jessica's belly...like...wouldn't that be weird? Why are you kissing her belly? Unless, there was a baby in there.  IT WAS GREAT!
